Today is December 1st.  Marc turned 8 today!  We gave him some cool presents before school.  Today he was feeling good enough to go to school.  We celebrated with cupcakes at recess.  We’re so thankful for our red-headed sweetie!

Today is also the unoffical day of independance for this province.  There were lots of rumours of dem*’s and the like.  But things stayed pretty quiet around here.  Lots of people gathered at the field in town.  That field is actually the gravesite of the former leader of the independ*nce movement.  (see photo).  The local law enforcement people were ready for problems (see photo again).

Aidan broke out in a rash today.  This is rather curious.  You can get a rash from Typhoid but it is usually on your abdomen and chest.  His rash is mostly on his legs.  It’s looking kinda like dengue…  Very curious…  But overall, he is improving, albeit slowly.  He hasn’t had a fever for a while but continues to have constant headaches and occasional stomach pain and he doesn’t have much energy.  Brynne also returned to school although her energy level is not yet at her normal warp speed…

Hi Hugo & Erica, Sorry to hear about your kids’ fevers. I hope that they get rid of them speedily and get back to normal living. I appreciate the comments that you send us together with the photos. I pray for you regularly and your contacts with the local people. Keep up the good work of being an example to them and expressing love to them.
    Sincerely, Laurie & Ruth Hanchard
