Two interesting books I’ve read recently…

I’ve recently read two rather interesting books that take place during World War 2.
The first is Unbroken: A World War 2 Story of Survival, Resiliance, and Redemption – An incredible story of survival and a coming to faith. You won’t be able to put it down.
The second book is called Lost in Shangri-La – A true story about an American military plane that crashed in the Jungles of Papua near a never before (or so they thought) seen valley of incredible beauty. This book chronicles the survival of three of the planes passengers and their eventual rescue mission. There is actual video footage of the event at : The valley known at that time as Shangri-La is today known as the Baliem Valley and is still frequented by a fair number of tourists each year. MAF has a base there in the city located in the valley, called Wamena.
