A few weeks ago already the kids had a concert.  Brynne’s class did a musical about a scroogey teacher named Mrs. Ebeneezer who learns an important lesson.  Brynne played Mrs. Ebeneezer and played the part to perfection.  She had had her lines memorized for a month beforehand already.  Clearly this girl is meant for the stage!  The boys played with their respective bands.  Aidan plays the trumpet.  An instrument that fits him well.  Christiaan plays the guitar.  It was neat to hear the kids play recognizable songs after only a few months of instruction!

The following evening we had our annual MAF Christmas party.  Hugo and the maintenance guys sang a medley of songs accompanied by G on the guitar.  We also took group photos according to division.  That’s us with the maintenance division.  Prior to that we’d listened to a speech by a long-time missionary who is living here for a year to finish some translation work.  He and his wife are in their 80’s and still going strong!  Then all the kids of the national employees received a gift bag.  Myself and another MAF wife had spent a couple days shopping for all the stuff and Aidan and I put the bags together.  Fun!  Following that we all enjoyed a meal together.

Dear Erica and Hugo: wishing you and the children God’s peace as you celebrate His Son’s birth, and as you look forward to serving Him via MAF in 2013. With best wishes and Christian greetings!
