Christmas and New Years…

We had Christmas dinner with good friends.  Turkey and all the trimmings!  We had exchanged names and Hugo was at his creative present wrapping best.  We also wrote funny poems to go with the presents.  Aidan’s inner homeboy came out with his new hat and Christiaan was super cool with his new shades.  Mikah’s new t-shirt fits her to a “T”.

For New Years we went to base and enjoyed some yummy food with more good friends.  For a couple hours the guys and kids let off fireworks.  Later we went up to the school hill to watch the fireworks going off in the city.  Wow!  That photo doesn’t even do it complete justice.  Midnight was insane with millions of rupiahs worth of fireworks going off each minute.  For some reason, this year, people had been setting off fireworks every single night for the entire month of December.  We were hoping they finished off all the fireworks on new year’s eve…  but they hadn’t…  Hopefully soon they’ll run out…

Wishing you all a blessed 2013!
