Day at the river…

For Mikah’s birthday we went to this neat spot on the river.  We have to go through the military complex, park the car and walk about 15 minutes or so to get there.  A guy we met at the beginning of the trail was quite keen to have his photo taken with the kids.  The trail is easy to follow but we did have to go over a fallen tree and walk through some water.  The water in the river, due to the insane amount of rain we’ve been getting, was quite high and flowing well, but not dangerously so.  We’d been saving a s’mores kit that we bought in Canada last July just for a special occasion.  Roasted hotdogs were on the lunch menu followed by the s’mores for dessert.  It was a fun family day!

Tomorrow I head to Singapore with Christiaan for his annual check-up and so I can talk to a Dr. about my right knee (same problem the left one had) and my neck.  Christiaan and I are looking forward to eating some good food there!
