Titip is this really neat program run here in Sentani.  Each year they accept about 16-18 young men and women into the dorm program.  This means the students live at the dorm during the week and go home on the weekends.  While in the dorm they learn English, Math and are discipled.  They also get to learn other fun stuff like how to have a healthy diet, cook, and make a violin or guitar.  Towards the end of the one year program the kids are usually given the opportunity to stay with a Western family for a weekend.  We signed up to have two girls.  We had a neat weekend with them and on Saturday we had some friends over who also had two girls for the weekend and we did a good o’le barbeque together followed by a game of Uno Extreme. It’s so encouraging to meet these young women who are keen to learn and to live godly lives.
