The biggest news of last week was Hugo turning the large “4 – 0”. For his birthday supper we had pizza and trifle and cheesecake. Yum! On Friday we had a fun birthday party with friends. There was some intense competition that went on when we played charades and Mennonite Madness. This was all after eating a yummy meal of barbeque chicken and salads etc… We also had a fun make your own beverage station. (I forgot to take a photo)
Last week there was also a band concert from the middle school and high school bands. Christiaan played the guitar and Aidan played both the trumpet and piano. They did great!
Brynne’s class had a little presentation of photos of the school year and we could take a look at our kids portfolio’s. I took a photo of Brynne with her teacher.
I have been doing some subbing again lately. As you can see from the photos, it’s a real hardship….
Gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag, Hugo! Looks like it was a good day in the company of good friends. (Excuse my seldomly used Dutch — I tried) We wish you God’s continued blessings on your labours and life in His service.
re Erica subbing: yes, hardship, insulated mug o’ coffee at the ready! Keep up the good work though!
Kids in the band: twang, twang, twang and a root-toot-toot. Intense look of concentration. I’m sure it sounded great!
