A few weeks ago we had all the girls from the dorm of Sekolah Papua Harapan come for a sleepover along with some MAF girls.  There are nine girls from three different villages interior.  They are the cutest bunch ever!  We started the evening with pizza and pop, then moved onto painting our nails (some of them had never done it before and didn’t want to) or playing with polly pockets (far less intimidating than painting nails) after which we watched Tangled.  Just before bed we played a few rounds of Uno Extreme, always a hoot.  Then all us girls slept in the living room.  The next morning we did breakfast in shifts, girls first and then boys.  The Dutch pancakes were a hit; none of them had ever tried them before.  We followed that up with a session of jewelry making with beads and elastic.  It is so neat to see how they are growing up into beautiful God-fearing young women.

One Response to Sleepover…

That was quite a troop (troupe?) you had over! Looks and sounds like you had fun. What a great opportunity for you and them all to bond together. Great that you could observe that, with God’s blessing, they are or becoming ‘godly’ young women. Greetings from sunny Surrey!
