Recently a guy from MAF headquarters came and packed up a couple of Cessna 206 aircraft into a container to be shipped back to the US.  We’ve replaced these aircraft with the Kodiak which can seat more people, uses jet fuel (unlike avgas which is not being produced in-country anymore) and can land at the shorter airstrips just like the 206 can.

There are two high school students from an aviation high school working in the hangar for experience.  In the photo above, the fellow on the left is the student learning how to check a tire during an inspection.

Every afternoon people like to gather at the field across the road from us and play volleyball, basketball and soccer.  One afternoon the entire International school had off of school so the girls volleyball team took the opportunity to play against and with the neighbourhood girls up here on our hill.  Mikah is on the volleyball team.  It was a nice opportunity to doing something together that everyone loves!

On the other side of the field there was an interesting sort of soccer game being played.  Instead of nets, each team had a coconut that they had to protect.  If your coconut got hit, the entire team had to do push-ups.
