Our time in Canada is drawing to a close again. I don’t feel ready to leave yet. Our time here has been so incredibly full of wonderful moments. We left BC in June and took two weeks to drive across to Owen Sound. During those two weeks we were humbled by the hospitality of many people. Some were old friends whom we hadn’t seen for a while, others were family, and others were strangers. We thank all of you! We also enjoyed seeing the different areas of Canada and appreciated the unique beauty of each one. The Royal Tyrell dinosaur museum was a fascinating place to visit which opened our eyes immensely. My sisters wedding was beautiful and it was amazing to have our entire family together for the first time in 11 years. Eleven years ago we were a much smaller family and the family photo we took at the wedding shows just how we have been blessed by God. Following the wedding we camped all together at Pinery Provincial park. What a nostalgic event for us as we had camped often as a family including a number of times at Pinery. I’m not sure my children appreciated just how much this meant to me, but they sure enjoyed the camping experience. Following the week of camping, Marc and Brynne headed to Campfire Bible Camp for the week while the rest of us drove south to visit with old friends and hit the MAF head office for a couple days of meetings. After the meetings were done we met up with old friends from Papua for an evening. Once you’ve shared the bond of living in Papua, you are friends for life. This week we are winding down our time in Canada and madly attempting to obtain every item on our needed list and hoping it will all fit into our totes. Providing there are no delays (which we usually end up experiencing) we should leave late Tuesday from Toronto and begin the long journey back home. We are all ready not to be travelling any more!
