Marc’s birthday and more…

Lots going on around here.  First off we celebrated Marc’s 11th birthday.  Can’t believe it was 11 years ago already that he was born here in Papua.  We had a fun party with his friends which included a fair amount of shooting followed by cake and drinks.  Then we divided the boys into two groups and gave each group a bag of random items.  They were each to create a skit/advertisement that used all of the props in the bag.  Hugely successful!

Last week I had my English students for the last time this semester.  We made sugar cookies and watched Grace Unplugged.  They took the decorating of the cookies very seriously…

Last week was the annual futsal tournament.  Mikah’s team won second place and she had a goal and lots of stops as keeper.  Super proud of the girls and how hard they played.  After the last game of the tournament we moved over to the MPR where we enjoyed the band concert.  Aidan plays trumpet in the middle school band and Christiaan plays guitar in the high school band.

Then last Saturday there was a Christmas banquet for the middle school and one for the high school.  So the kids got all spiffied up.
