Here we are and it is nearly the end of the month of May.
April 29th was Aidan’s birthday but as we had just returned from Holland we waited to have his party for a couple weeks. We invited all the boys in his class to join us at the dock on the lake for some water fun. This is a great group of boys!
Last week Saturday Aidan graduated from eighth grade. As per tradition, the seventh grade puts on a dinner for the eighth graders. It was an enjoyable evening celebrating our almost high school children. That same day was Hugo’s birthday. So thankful for the husband he is to me and the father he is to our children.
Last week Marc and Brynne’s classes went to an island on the lake that is famous for its bark art. We had to take a little boat ride to get there. Then Pak Corry demonstrated to the kids the traditional method of bark painting using only three colours, red, black and white. They couldn’t get black paint so they used dark green. I took a little walk down the island and there was an old gun from world war 2, a cool painted building along with just regular houses on stilts and dugout canoes.
